Checklist for Admission

To be considered for admission, international students must submit all of the following documents.

DSU Application for Admission/Global Awareness Tuition Waiver Form. Click here to apply online.
Transcripts from all secondary schools, colleges, and universities previously attended
- All transcripts must be accompanied by an English translation
- To receive university transfer credits from an American institution, official transcripts must be sent to Dickinson State University directly by the college or university
- To receive university transfer credits from a foreign institution, students must complete a “Detailed Evaluation of Coursework” through Foreign Credentials Service of America. There is a $110.00 US charge for this evaluation. Information about the service can be found at www.fcsa.biz
ACT Scores
- Only Canadian applicants are required to submit these scores.
- Our Institutional Code is 3210
Official TOEFL Score or its equivalent
- Students must secure a score of 525 or higher on the paper based test, 197 or higher on the computer based test, or 71 or higher on the internet based test
- Our Institutional Code is 6477
Campus Safety and Security Questionnaire
- Effective the Fall 2007 semester, all incoming students must complete and sign the Campus Safety and Security Questionnaire prior to August 21, 2007, the first day of Fall 2007 classes.

Upon admission and prior to issuance of a form I-20 Certificate of Eligibility, students must submit the following documents:

Declaration of Finances
- Students are required to document their sources of funding and demonstrate that they have a sponsor who can provide adequate financial support for every year of studies in the United States, at Dickinson State University.

Official Bank Statement demonstrating sufficient funds for at least one full year of studies
- Students are required to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds for at least one full year of studies in a bank account. See the appropriate Declaration of Finances form for this information.

Other Required Documents

Completed Medical History
- All students are required to complete the Report of Medical History and have it on file at Dickinson State University. For a copy of the form, click here.
Proof of required Measles/Mumps/Rubella immunity
- Student must show proof of having received two (2) MMR immunizations.

Demonstrated Freedom from Tuberculosis
- All international students other than Canadians who have been in the US for less than five years must have a TB test upon entering the US. IMPORTANT INFORMATION
