An Invitation from the President

On behalf of the Dickinson State University Foundation, I am writing to thank you for your past contributions to the Foundation and to make you aware of a newly created annual giving program which includes cumulative giving societies and a legacy society.  The Foundation genuinely appreciates your past contributions and your interest in the future development of the University.  Your generous support, coupled with gifts from others like yourself, has enabled Dickinson State University to make significant progress in its endeavor to provide students with an excellent education and to enhance the quality of life in the West River Region.

Dickinson State University is committed to providing a student-centered learning environment which provides students with the opportunity to maximize their individual potential and communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills needed to live, learn, and lead in the 21st Century.  The University also is dedicated to providing citizens in the region with a wide range of educational and cultural enrichment activities.

Today's students will be tomorrow's professionals, business and civic leaders, teachers, scientists, and parents. The University's ability to meet these students' expectations, as well as our own increasingly high standards of excellence, depends in no small part on the involvement and commitment of Dickinson State University's alumni and friends.  We need your participation, your ideas, and your financial support if we are to address the challenges before us in a pro-active manner.  Consequently, I urge you to review the enclosed material regarding the new giving programs and to consider increasing your annual contribution to the Dickinson State University Foundation.

Thank you in advance for considering this important request and for your continuing support of Dickinson State University.  I look forward to working with you as we redouble our efforts to prepare students to be productive and successful citizens and to play a more pivotal role in the development of the West River Region.
