"Our track team has had tremendous success over the past several years, including three national championships and two runner-up finishes. Our facility is in desperate need of repair. A new facility would add greatly to our University and our ability to recruit and retain high quality student-athletes. With a state-of-the-art facility, such as the proposed Badlands Activities Center, we feel confident we can maintain our status as a national contender for many years to come."

The Badlands Activities Center's new field will feature the latest in artificial turf technology to provide student-athletes with the best and safest field design. This will include a comprehensive drainage system to ensure sporting events can take place as scheduled. These improvements will enable the BAC to host more regional sporting events throughout the year! More events will bring more visitors-along with their economic impact-to our community.
A state-of-the-art Olympic Standard, eight-lane track will be the hallmark of the new Huffman Track. It will boast the latest in electronic information and scoring. The new track and field event surfaces will enable more student-athletes to excel - to be champions!
The Badlands Activities Center will feature an on-site locker room facility located under the stadium. The facility will include a training/medical room, restrooms and locker rooms for the three home teams: Dickinson State University, Dickinson High School and Trinity High School. It will be the first time in Dickinson's history that basic amenities will be available on site. The Badlands Activities Center will provide the safety and facilities that parents expect for their children and that today's coaches and student-athletes need.
On the second floor of The Badlands Activities Center will be the new home to the media, coaches and video crews. The latest technology will ensure top coaching for student-success.
