The services of the Math and Tutoring Centers at the Academic Success Center (ASC) are available free of charge to all DSU students who seek help or are referred by an instructor. Tutoring assistance in various academic subjects is provided by trained peer tutors. Our goal is to ensure that students enrolled at DSU receive the academic support to needed succeed in their classes. Our services are provided on an appointment basis and with walk-ins whenever possible. You may be working in a one-to-one scenario or in a group setting according to how many students are seeking help. Mission Statement The mission of the ASC Math and Tutoring Centers is to provide academic support to all students enrolled at Dickinson State University. Our primary goal is to create an open atmosphere of learning for students who need assistance. Professionally trained tutors assist students in numerous academic disciplines through a variety of tutoring techniques by addressing their individual needs and learning styles in a constructive environment. The Math and Tutoring Center promotes the independence of students by helping them help themselves. |
